Context Of Website

 

This was created with the aim of being used by stage 3 students as an after school unit of work. While creating this space I was using my former prac class as a basis of students' interests and level of ability. Most students in the class came from middle class families with some coming from lower socio-economic backgrounds and other from richer backgrounds. However most student had all still had experiences with Lego. 

 

It is for this reason that I chose to use Lego as the meduim for teaching.

 

The website itself is created for students to use at home as a guide for creating brickfilms. In order to make it engaging for students lesson sequences are presented as challenges. 

 

The 'Your Space' section of the is a way for students to present their creations and share feedback with one another in a safer monitored way.

 

When creating the website I focused on creating a multimodal learning sequence that gives students an opporutnity to explore the creation of narratives through an engaging way by using brickfilms as the theme.
